UX & VISUAL Designer: 2016-2017

343 Industries’ Vision

The Halo Franchise is more than just the games that we deliver. 343 seeks to involve its players more than just a few games on an Xbox. Knowing that we plan to launch Halo: MCC on PC, how do we get users to spend more time within our ecosystem?

Opportunity

Create a touchpoint application on PC and Xbox that the user can use to launch the games that they own as well as experience personalization such as Service Record or in-game customizations. The Halo app empowers users to stay up-to-date on recent Halo news, allows players to download and update games found on PC, and provides videos and community-curated content.

MY Role & Process

As the lead UX Designer on Halo app, I created both low- and mid-fidelity wireframes, wrote and presented UI specs to our partner teams, and helped define the information architecture found across the app. I also aided in visual design on secondary pages, such as game details pages, stats, and marketplace. As a designer, I worked closely with the engineering team to bring our vision to life.

The visuals provided here are the final product; because I also work in wireframes, user flows, and prototypes, my NDA doesn’t allow me to post most of my work. For more information, please contact me and I’ll be happy to walk through my process.
