Microsoft Band

UX & visual DESIGNER: 2013-2014

THE GOAL

The Microsoft Band is a wearable fitness tracker and smartwatch. The accompanying app helps users track their biometrics and set goals for things such as steps per day.

MY ROLE

As a designer on Microsoft Band, I found myself working in a space that was unfamiliar not only to me, but to most of the technological world: wearables. In this budding space, I helped create wireframes, user flows, and UI specs to guide our dev team. When we defined the interface for Microsoft Band, we relied on the visual language of Windows Phone (which came easily to me due to my years there!).

The visuals provided here are the final product; because I also work in wireframes and UX, my NDA doesn’t allow me to post some of my work. For more information, please contact me and I’ll be happy to walk through my process.
